Physical Features

Andhra Pradesh is the fifth largest state in India, both in terms of area as well as population. The total area of our state is over 2,75,000 square kilometres, while the population is 66.3 million.

Our state is bounded by Madhya Pradesh and Orissa on the north, the Bay of Bengal on the east, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka on the south and Maharastra on the west. The north-eastern area of our state is mountainous.
